Big Weekend of Meeting Friends...

The weekend started on Friday with lunch with Daddy! We decided to go in to not only see him, but meet many of the people he works with who have been asking about her. She put on one of her new outfits and did very well. We did have one accident though and had to change out in the car : ) But overall, she enjoyed meeting his co-workers as much as they enjoyed meeting her. Then we headed to Mommy's work. There have been many people anticipating her arrival to meet her. She was immediately greeted with excitement and whisked away down the hall to meet everyone. So many new faces and being held by many wonderful people. She enjoyed this visit just as much as the previous one! Thank you everyone for your kindness!
Afterwards...a very tired Riley had a little snack and then went off into dreamland. It was quite an afternoon outing for her... The next day consisted of errands and then she got to go see the Raslers! Thank you to Amy and Brandon for having us over and getting out of the house! She also was able to meet Lindsay! Many more good times to be had with these wonderful, kind and fun folks! We look forward to next time!

After the of the hustle and bustle early in the weekend...Sunday was definitely used to recooperate! Naps on the warm fuzzy blanket was awesome!

Spending Time with Mom and Dad...

Not smiling...just like Daddy...ha...but at least her eyes are open. Daddy was finally able to get a picture of the two of them...too cute! Sleeping with Mom...one of her favorite activities...Mommy likes to sleep too : )

We went for a nice walk this afternoon...as it was beautiful out...She likes to sleep during these outings...maybe it is the fresh air that does it : )

Happy Spring...

As a spring baby... Riley wanted to get out with Mama...she is so good in her car seat : ) She picked out these purple tulips to take over to Grammy because she thought they would help her feel better...

Grammy wasn't home yet, so we left them for a nice surprise...however, Papa was home...we visited with him...well, I did...she slept...but looked cute while doing so!

We then decided to meet Mr. and Mrs. K...we had a lovely visit...however, she slept the entire time then too. As a new mom...I guess I can't complain a whole lot if she is sleeping : ) It allowed for me to catch up for awhile and enjoyed spending some time with my childhood "2nd family". Thank you guys for letting us visit!

Thanks to another group of friends, Brian and Chelsea, we got out with Daddy for a walk and watched them play some basketball. Thanks for stopping by and spending some time chatting with us!

Our Big Weekend Outing...

The weekend started out by watching a little Cosby Show with daddy. They were learning some valuable lessons from America's favorite family.... Since it was so beautiful out on Saturday...we decided to go for a nice drive through the "country", which consisted of taking the back roads to Bristol and coming up around Goshen area. It was a nice leisurely drive on a nice sunny day. We actually come up near Oxbow Park, so we decided to walk some of the trails there. I haven't really been able to walk a whole lot since having her so it was nice to be able to walk the trails for a bit. Slow and steady...but we weren't in a hurry. She slept the whole time, but at least got some fresh air!
After working up an appetite and thirst...we decided to venture to

the Miles Lab. We had visited there once and enjoyed it. Great

atmosphere and good beer selection. They have a smaller menu, but

I like the idea of less choices with GREAT daily specials! If you

haven't tried it yet, highly recommend it. The bar area is awesome too, however, we couldn't take the little one in that area. Also,

mulitple big screen tv's to watch any sports game currently playing.

You would think after that long day, she would have slept more during the night...but she is only 18 days old...so no...silly. However, mommy got to sleep a bit more on Sunday as daddy helped to make that happen. Thank you daddy...

With the unexpected 80 degree weather today...we ventured out to the ND lacrosse game. Neither of us had been to a lacrosse game or really knows how it is played. However, we got great tickets ($2.50 a piece) on a beautiful day...so we thought we would try it out. Little one in tow too...now for the record...I strongly dislike ND, (trying not to use the 'hate' word), but I will support a good game. I didn't cheer really for either team...but if I did, it would NOT be for the home time...so I just quietly watch. The stadium is really nice and new and I figure you can't go wrong supporting a sport that may not always get the recognition it so deserves. The game was actually really close and interesting to watch. Something different to do!

Super tired after all that action!

Random Riley Pictures...

Riley Durham...

Figured i would start out with the best adventure of all...Miss Riley Durham. This picture was taken 5 days before her arrival. We didn't find out the sex of the baby before, so we were quite anxious for her to appearance. We were supposed to be induced late Monday (March 21st), but she decided to start coming on her own. Yay! There were a few complications...she never dropped and wasn't even in the birth canal. They "let" me labor for about 9 hours in which my water broke on its own (super cool by the way). They had slowed the contractions down due to her stressing, but unfortunately, I stopped dialating. I never got to more than 4 - 5 centimeters dialated. At point and due to a couple other complications, they decided to do a c-section. It wasn't necessarily considered "emergency", but enough to put us in front of all the scheduled c-sections. Finally on March 22, 2011 at 9:54am, after being completly numb from the waist down...they announced..."It's a Girl!". Miss Riley had finally (after being overdue by 6 days) made her appearance! She was 7 lbs 15 oz and 20.5 inches long. Those cheeks are to die for...and they are soooo soft! She's been a great baby girl so far as we try and figure out this parenthood thing.
