She is so funny... She thinks she is hot stuff ... Then she realizes she is standing and falls down!

I Love To Feed Myself...

Happy New Year...

We've done so many things this year! Riley has grown so much already at a little over 9 months now. She is an excellent crawler as well as remote controller. I don't know what it is about those, but she loves to chew on them...


She is also a great eater...although she might eat some "adult" food...she thinks she can eat anything and was really craving daddy's hamburger! Green beans were her first food, but this girl will pretty much eat anything! She also has no problem asking for yours!

She has been teething a lot...which means, not sleeping well, too. She now has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom...and those little things are sharp!!

She thinks she is hot stuff being able to pull herself up to stand along everything...she also can walk by pushing around anything with wheels as long as she can hold on to it.

She definitely is a happy baby! She giggles and smiles and laughs all the time...I wish I could just capture that in a bottle and save it for when she is a teenager!

As she is approaching her first birthday...I guess I won't be able to call her baby girl anymore...but until then...I will as much as I can. We can't wait to see what baby girl has in store for us this year!

The Year of First Holidays...

This was the year of first holidays! For Halloween, Riley was a red delicious apple...this is because her lame mom wasn't able to find the time to make her angry bird costume : ) She was a champ though and went to visit both grandparents... Yes, she is licking the window...Ha.


Thanksgiving was great...she got to hang with some of her cousins as well as the grandparents. She didn't get to take part in the wonderful dinner we had with so many traditional dishes. Next year, she will get to enjoy of of it! Although her outfit was incredibly cute. She pooped on the onezie before I was able to get a picture...so you get her turkey butt!

And then there is Christmas...she was just a doll. She loved playing hard with all her cousins! She also was intrigued by the Christmas tree...she would try to "open" the presents under it before the actual day...but when it came and she could open them...she wanted nothing to do with them.

What is great is that she doesn't know what any of these holidays are about and genuinely loved being around everyone! It was so fun for us to share these experiences with her.

My Beautiful Baby Girl...

6 Months...

As Riley approaches 6 months, I have realized I have not updated her blog...wow...as I look back at her pictures...she has grown so much in the last 2 months. She is such a happy baby and 'bright eyes' as she is known by family...is so observant and loves to be outdoors.

She also loves to go swimming, leisure strollers around the neighborhood and such chilling in the grass...


This is pretty much how she is most of the time...she is trying to crawl...not quite yet, but boy can she stick her booty in the air.

The johnny jumper is a fun toy for her too as she thinks she is so big that she can walk...she gets bored with it after about 20 minutes though and back to the 'gym' to play ....

Shawn and I are so thankful to have her in our lives...she is pure joy...even at 5:00 in the morning...we believe she has a mutant gene as mom and dad are definitely not morning people...however, she is teaching how to be...I mean, come on, how can you resist that smiling face...she is always happy to see you...
